In Thai: Hello Mr. John. Hear good that get acquainted you.
* Kâ is the polite particle used by women. Kráp is used by men.
* Thai people call each other by their first name. If they cannot remember a person’s name, they might call that person Koon John.

Excuse me, my name is not Mr. John. I am Miss Bird.
ขอ โทษ ค่ะ ชื่อ ของ ฉัน ไม่ ใช่ คุณ จอห์น ฉัน เป็น นางสาว นก

* Nahng-săao means Miss. Nók is a common nickname.

Dichăn mâi sâhp wâh kŏw yòo têe năi. Kŏw mâi dâi yòo têe nêe.

* Têe nêe means here. (Literally: "at place this")
* "Mâi dâi" in front of "yòo" forms the past tense.
